The Bureau of Land Management, Salt Lake City, Utah has a requirement to have Drill Hole Data, Logs, Notations, Notes, Summaries, Photos, Color Markings to be scanned for each occurrance. BLM anticipates that there are about 300 records to be scanned. Also to be done are the catalouging and ability to search by several methods and items is part of the process. There is a Memorandum of Understanding in place with the State of Utah Geological Service to provide services and maintain geologic data for solid minerals in Utah to identify, communicate and coordinate actions upon issues of common concern in the management of State and Federally owned geological and mineral resources.
