DALE-06 - NRW 1015, Replace OS&Y Valve And Descale Boiler #2

The Project will provide materials and labor to accomplish the following scope of work: Replace a leaking 6” OS&Y steam gate valve for boiler #2 and descale boiler to obtain a (1) year certification. ♦ Receive and deliver (1) 6” OS&Y steam gate valve, (1) 6” gate valve chain operator, (2) Flexitallic gaskets, and 165 gallons of RydLyme descaling agent. ♦ Mobilize onsite to Dalecarlia ♦ Shut down (LOTO) and drain boiler #2. ♦ Remove existing insulation on failed gate valve and set up rigging to remove failed valve. ♦ Remove and dispose of failed valve. ♦ Clean and prepare flanged surfaces on both the piping, and the new valve and rig into place. ♦ Install (2) Flexitallic gaskets on either side of the new valve and tighten to spec using a “cross tightening” pattern. ♦ Introduce descaling agent to boiler and circulate to remove scale. ♦ Fill and start boiler, ensuring proper operation. ♦ Check new steam valve for leaks. ♦ Insulate new steam valve to match existing insulation. ♦ Clean and remove all debris from work area. ♦ De-mobilize The Project does not include the following, which are specifically excluded: ♦ Boiler Certification ♦ Time lost due to access issues. ♦ Balancing; both water and air.♦ Any items not specifically set out in the above scope of work. ♦ Over time, off hours, weekends or Holiday work.
