The City of Charlottesville ("City") currently offers a comprehensive benefits package to benefits-eligible employees. The City has approximately 1,100 active, benefits-eligible employees. Retiree eligibility: Approximately 500 retirees may enroll in the dental plan. The City currently offers one dental plan option administered by Delta Dental of Virginia. The City expects the proposed arrangement to maintain the status quo plan design. The City is also considering a dual-option offering that would add a new buy-up plan; the buy-up design is still under development. Offerors should describe their ability to support a dual-option dental offering and provide pricing for the current plan and any proposed buy-up option as requested. The City offers one voluntary vision plan with MetLife. The City offers an Employee Assistance Plan with Sentara. The City offers Basic and Voluntary Life through Securian.
