The Department of Defense’s Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic is seeking information on commercially available local area network (LAN) equipment capable of meeting specific technical requirements for a military health system network upgrade. The request includes various network switches with PoE+ capabilities, both 48-port and 24-port models, with options for 10G uplinks and redundant, hot-swappable internal power supplies. Additional components include fiber GBICs for 1G and 10G connections, switch stacks, core chassis solutions with management modules, server stackable switches, and a network monitoring solution. The equipment must support advanced networking features such as IPv6, interior gateway routing protocols, spanning tree protocols, VLAN trunking, port-based access control, and meet power over Ethernet standards, all from a single manufacturer’s enterprise solution on the DISA Unified Capabilities Approved Product List. Respondents are required to provide detailed company and product information, including pricing and relevant GSA schedules, to enable SSC Atlantic to perform comparative assessments for potential future procurement, though no contract awards will be made from this request. The information is for planning and market research purposes only and will be treated as publicly accessible. Submissions are due by October 25, 2016, via email to the designated technical contact. The intention is to identify compliant commercial products that meet the stringent reliability, redundancy, and performance specifications outlined to support secure and robust military healthcare LAN infrastructure.
