The U.S. Department of Education (ED), Office of Communications and Outreach (OCO) intends to extend a consultant agreement by four months, via contract, to continue to receive social media and digital communication strategy support from a communications expert. The vendor has unique experience supporting ED through a number of communications and public relations campaigns and continuity of strategy is required. The existing agreement will be extended using a short-term, bridge contract to Benjamin Cobley to ensure ED continues receiving digital strategy support while pursuing other actions to obtain the services in the long term. The award will be a new short-term contract awarded on a sole-source basis in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation 13.106-1(b), only one source reasonably available, to avoid a lapse in service.
