Maximo# HSHNCH Current Situation: Current lab is too small and does not have the necessary space for lab equipment. Lab also lacks safety equipment such as explosion proof lighting, grounding straps, etc. According to current UFC codes for C++ labs, the B370 lab does not meet current regulation standards. Mission Impact: Personnel will be unable to test fuel samples. Should fuel samples not be tested all flying missions will be canceled causing a negative impact to all flight operations to include Emergency Search and Rescue missions. Daily fuel sample will be able to be tested thus risking receiving contaminated fuel into fuel storage tanks costing the government millions of dollars in damages and may even cause inflight accidents due to contaminated fuel being issued to aircrafts. Regulatory Considerations: Per DLA/NAVAIR polices all fuels must be tested prior to receiving and issuing to equipment and aircrafts. All Fuels facilities must have a lab in place in order to test all fuel samples. SOW: Redesign and renovate the current laboratory to meet current UFC standards for C++ labs (ref UFC 4-310-03, dated 12AUG2020). Expand the existing footprint as necessary.; Status Note (as of 28-SEP-21): Target Execution: Design: FY22 Construction: FY23; Status Note (as of 21-OCT-21): (1) Executability by: FY23-QX (2) Design Funding: Bulk Funding DLA POL (3) DASN: N/A, DD1391: Pending (WONXXXXXX) (4) Status: Awaiting Planning Docs, Design FY22 (5) History: None (6) NEPA/Permits: CATEX Pending (WONXXXXXX) (7) Other pertinent information: HAZMAT Pending
