DMP Pipe Removals

The DMP Pipe Removals project, managed by the Central Valley Flood Protection Board in California, involves the removal of seven 24-inch corrugated metal pipes and their associated structures. The scope requires removal to extend at least 15 feet beyond the landside levee toe, with any remaining segments outside the levee easement being plugged with concrete. To ensure accuracy, pipe locations will be verified using exploratory potholing within 25 feet of staked locations. Following the removals, the levee must be restored to its original condition, with backfill and compaction adhering to California Code of Regulations Title 23 standards. Final restoration includes reseeding the levee slopes with approved native grasses. This forecast project is coordinated by Jordan Robbins and Scott Cole.
