Document Shredding

The Greater Dayton Regional Transit Authority is inviting qualified vendors to submit proposals for a three-year contract to provide on-site, bi-weekly secure document shredding services, annual document destruction, and as-needed document purges across multiple locations. The agency currently utilizes twenty executive console-style shredding cabinets spread across three sites, along with additional containers such as small and tall paper recycling bins and two 32-gallon toter bins. Vendors are expected to provide pricing for bi-weekly shredding services at a minimum of three locations, with the option to service up to five, and must quote separately for each container type. Proposals must also include pricing for the purchase of additional containers through the vendor, giving RTA flexibility to expand its document security infrastructure as needed. All responses must be submitted by July 8, 2026, under solicitation number RFQ 26-36, with inquiries directed to Procurement Specialist Angelique Carey. The contract will be managed by the Ohio-based Capital Management/Executive agency, with services required to be performed within Dayton, Ohio. Vendors are expected to demonstrate secure handling procedures, compliance with data protection standards, and reliable service scheduling to meet RTA’s operational needs. The solicitation is open to qualified providers able to ensure the confidentiality and destruction of sensitive materials in accordance with industry best practices, with no specific set-aside requirements indicated.
