Full Description

The Center for Commercialization of Advanced Technology (CCAT) is pleased toannounce the opening of its 2011 solicitation. The solicitation is in partnership with and in direct support of the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense (OSD) for Homeland Defense and Americas Security Affairs Domestic Preparedness Support (DPS) Initiative. The purpose of this solicitation is to seek out, identify, and provide awards and services for selected technologies that solve critical first responder needs and support their rapid transition into the market. Candidate technologies must have reached a minimum Technology Readiness Level (TRL 6: prototype demonstrated and proven in a relevant environment). In addition, each technology must have been supported, at least in part, by funding from the Department of Defense. The DPS Initiative solicitation opens as of 8:00 AM (PDT) on Tuesday, September 20, 2011, and closes at 4:00 PM (PST) on Monday October 31, 2011.
