This is in support of 3MW Generator for Chillers 7 & 8.The objective of this requirement is to minimize the time required to start up the 3MW generator to service the hospital in the event of an electrical power outage. Manually operating the valves required for this operation can take in excess of 6 hours. This project will enable electronic operation of the following valves from the main control room in the plant: - The Supply and Return Valves needed on Loop 1- Bldgs 9-10-55 & NICOE - The Supply and Return Valves needed on Loop 2- Bldgs 1-8, 13, 14 & 54 - The Supply and Return Valves needed on Loop 3- USUHS & AFFRi - The Supply and Return Valves not needed on Loop 4 - The Supply and Return Valves needed on Loop 5- Bldgs 17 & 62 - The Supply and Return Valves needed on Loop 6 - Bldgs 11, 60 & 61 - The Supply and Return Valves not needed on Loop 7 - An alternative solution may be to leave the existing valves in place and add electrically operated actuators to them.; Status Note (as of 13-JAN-21): Customer has been informed of cost and we are awaiting direction.
