ERIS Shopping Notice: Distributed Decentralized Control & Estimation

Between August 10, 2026, and July 31, 2027, DARPA’s Information Processing Techniques Office is actively seeking innovative, post-competitive solutions through the ERIS Marketplace to advance modeling, simulation, and software-defined approaches for decentralized and distributed command and control systems. These solutions must support the integration of heterogeneous combat agents including sensing grids, unmanned aircraft systems, satellite constellations, collaborative aircraft, and ground or surface platforms, enabling seamless, horizontally aligned operations across complex environments. The solicitation, identified as DARPA-SN-26-101, does not impose set-asides and targets technical advancements in control and estimation methodologies that move beyond traditional hierarchical architectures. All submissions must be directed to the ERIS Coordinator at ERIS@darpa.mil, and proposals will be evaluated based on their potential to enable resilient, adaptive, and scalable decision-making across distributed networks. The contracting agency is the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, based in Arlington, Virginia, with performance expected to align with federal research and development standards without geographic restriction.
