The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) seeks to enhance its environmental resource management capabilities by developing an updated Environmental Resource Analysis (ERA) tool. This tool will operate on ESRI's ArcGIS suite, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, and ArcGIS Experience Builder, reflecting FWC's ongoing commitment to their Enterprise License Agreement with ESRI and their Cloud First Strategic Plan. The ERA tool is critical for assessing land acquisitions, reviewing environmental permits, and offering technical support concerning the impacts on wildlife species. It will enable FWC biologists to input property boundaries, query around 100 spatial datasets for various environmental attributes, and generate comprehensive reports. The contract outlines that the ERA tool will facilitate the automatic querying of wildlife species data, potential habitats, and other administrative and environmental datasets. Biologists using the tool will have the ability to draw or upload property boundaries, set buffer distances, and create reports that integrate spatial and tabular data. These reports will detail the presence or absence of specific attributes in the searched areas and will allow for the export and storage of the Area Of Interest (AOI) in an ArcGIS-compatible format. The contract is slated for a one-year duration and the development services will occur across various FWC offices in Florida. Any prospective vendors must demonstrate their capability to deliver the described services by the deadline set for January 30, 2025.
