This is an Announcement for Mortuary Services for Unclaimed or Indigent Veterans. Period of Performance: 12/01/2026-11/30/2031 This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. The purpose of this Sources Sought announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions. It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposals or quotes. The Government is not obligated to, nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought synopsis request. This requirement is for a non-Personal Services Contract for provide the facilities, professional services, management, labor, tools, supplies, equipment, storage, and transportation necessary to provide funeral (mortuary) services to support handling of unclaimed or indigent remains of deceased Veterans inpatients at VA Palo Alto Healthcare System (VAPAHCS). Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, material, tools, travel and overhead necessary to perform this service at VAPAHCS. Offerors will comply with EPA/OSHA regulations. The NAICS and Product Service Codes for this requisition are as follows: NAICS code 812210, Funeral Homes and Funeral Services has been verified as the correct NAICS code for the requirement, verified through the BLS website at https://www.bls.gov/cew/classifications/industry/industry-titles.htm The correct Product and Service Code (PSC) for the requirement is G001, Social Care of Remains and/or Funeral Services is verified in the April 2025 PSC Manual. The Period of Performance dates are as follows: December 1, 2026-November 30, 2031. Basic Requirement Information.
