Geyserville Station

The Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit District is overseeing the construction of the Geyserville station located at 255 Hwy 128, Geyserville, California. This project involves building a rail station platform within public right-of-way to provide rail service to the unincorporated community of Geyserville for trains operating between Larkspur and Cloverdale. The scope of work includes the installation of a passenger boarding platform, shelters, amenities, and both bicycle and auto parking. It is noted that the station project is distinct from the tracks, signals, systems, and the multi-use pathway. The project is governed by CEQA and qualifies for a statutory exemption under Public Resources Code Section 21080.25(b)(5)(A), with a total project cost estimated under 50 million dollars. Key requirements include the exclusive use of certified Tier 4 locomotives and a mandate that all construction be performed by a skilled and trained workforce.
