Golden Gem Reclaim Water Pump Station

The project involves the construction of a new Reclaimed Water Transfer Pump Station at the City of Apopka’s existing West Reuse Storage System located on Golden Gem Road. This facility will utilize gravity to draw reclaimed water from two existing lined storage ponds with a combined capacity of approximately 320 million gallons. The station will then pump water back into the City’s reclaimed water distribution system as needed to maintain supply. Major components of the project include a cast-in-place concrete wet well, vertical turbine pumps, a pressurized screen filter, an electrical building housing variable frequency drives and an emergency generator, and a fully integrated SCADA system for operational control and monitoring. Designed by the City’s consultant Wright-Pierce, Inc., the project is a capital improvement effort managed by the Public Works agency in Apopka, Florida. The solicitation for this contract was posted on May 31, 2026, with a response deadline of June 30, 2026. The contracting process is overseen locally, with primary and secondary points of contact identified as the Utility Design Manager and the Purchasing Administrator. The project aims to enhance the City's reclaimed water infrastructure to ensure reliable and efficient water transfer and distribution.
