Goleta Water District Ellwood Reservoir Solar Power Systems

The Goleta Water District is initiating a project to install solar energy arrays at the Ellwood Reservoir in California. The primary objectives of this installation are to offset the District's energy costs and to mitigate the impacts of emergency situations and potential public safety power shutdowns. All solar energy systems implemented under this project must adhere to the technical standards set forth in PRC 21080.35. Regarding regulatory compliance, the project has been identified as categorically exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).
