Project will construct a photovoltaic (PV) solar electric ground mounted at Logistic Support Area (LSA), ISA Air Base Bahrain. The project includes construction of an automatic metering system and battery energy storage. The energy storage system will be connected to the installation's primary electrical distribution grid and allow the installation to operate as a microgrid and will be connected with other distributed generation and critical loads within LSA site. Facilities will be designed to meet or exceed the useful service life specified in DoD Unified Facility Criteria. Facilities will incorporate features that provide the lowest practical life cycle cost solutions satisfying the facility requirements with the goal of maximizing energy efficiency.
