Full Description

The purpose of this project is to improve salt storage at the Idlewild Maintenance Facility. The existing salt bunker walls consist of steel I-beams with timber lagging. The short bunker walls are failing to contain materials needed for maintenance. Cracks are present throughout the existing bunker and salt is corroding structural members of the storage barn. This project is needed to improve the salt storage capacity, preserve the structural integrity of the storage barn, and ensure the Idlewild Maintenance Facility is compliant with EPA requirements.
