IDOC Community Reentry Center

The State of Idaho Division of Purchasing and the Idaho Department of Correction issued Request for Information RFI 1438 on September 14, 2026, to explore the outsourcing of Community Reentry Center services for approximately 750 residents. This initiative aims to gather industry capabilities and best practices to inform a future solicitation, specifically focusing on housing and services across locations in Idaho Falls, Twin Falls, Boise, Nampa, and a planned facility in Pocatello scheduled for December 2026. The state is seeking information on 24/7 security staffing, facility provisioning, and comprehensive resident support including meals, case management, medical care, and behavioral health services. Additionally, the RFI targets insights on reentry services such as employment assistance, life-skills training, vocational programs, and transportation. This process is not a formal bid request and will not result in a contract award. Instead, the state is conducting virtual strategy discussions with qualified organizations to discuss operational security, risk management, insurance coverage, and personnel training. Interested suppliers must RSVP by October 2, 2026, to the primary point of contact, Mack DeYoung. While written responses to the RFI questions are not required, the state is utilizing these informal video conferences to determine the most effective ways to promote successful community reintegration while maintaining public safety.
