This is a Sources Sought notice for market research purposes only. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or requests for quotations. It does not constitute a solicitation and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government. Responses in any form are not offers, and the Government is under no obligation to award a contract as a result of this announcement. No funds are available to pay for the preparation of responses to this announcement. Any information submitted by respondents is strictly voluntary.


Based on the responses to this notice, this requirement may be set-aside for small businesses or procured through full and open competition. Description:


The U.S. Army Contracting Command – New Jersey has a requirement for the installation of one (1) Government-owned Air Compressor and one (1) Government-owned Hotsy 5762SS Steam Cleaner. The work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, tools, supervision, and transportation necessary to complete the installations at the Logistics Readiness Center (LRC), Building 8411, Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst (JB MDL), New Jersey.


Services include, but are not limited to, the following for both pieces of equipment:


  • Mechanical Installation: Positioning and securely anchoring the equipment, including installing vibration pads.
  • Electrical Installation: Providing dedicated wiring from existing electrical panels, installing approximately 190 ft. of conduit, modifying or upgrading panel components, replacing breakers, installing local disconnects, and making all final electrical connections.
  • Gas Piping Installation: Installing approximately 30 ft. of natural gas piping with all necessary fittings, supports, and shutoff valves for the steam cleaner.
  • Surge Protection: Installing a fusible link and Surge Protective Device (SPD) integrated into the electrical panel or local disconnect.
  • Testing and Commissioning: Performing functional testing of all electrical connections, gas leak testing, and conducting equipment startup, calibration, and operational testing to ensure full functionality per manufacturer specifications.

The Government will provide the Air Compressor and Hotsy Steam Cleaner as Government-Furnished Property (GFP).
