Full Description
For all transformers we are requesting primary side and secondary side electrical isolation disconnect switches/devices. One on each side, they can be of the fused or breaker style but must meet the ampacity of the circuit through each switch. 400, 800, 1200….
If the switches are installed on the transformer or on the skid it will be the responsibility of the vendor to electrically connect from the (load side) of the primary switch to the transformer and the (line side) secondary side to the transformer. The government will tie into the (line side from NAVFAC) of the primary switch and the (Load side to equipment to be powered) of the secondary disconnect switch. I have attached a basic skid figure of what we are looking (switches mounted to transformer or skid).
If the switches are independent (stand-alone units) the government will install all cabling on the switches and the transformers to meet project request.
We understand that the safety disconnects, over 400 amps, can get large and the skid mounted units may not be available. Reason why we added in the flexibility of stand along units in the SOW.
We do not want to parallel transformers, main reason why we are requesting larger KVA transformers.
Requirement Title: Rental of fourteen; (12) 400A Isolation Transformers, (1) 800A & (1) 1200A in
accordance with the SOW.
