The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) is issuing an Invitation to Bid for Demolition and Removal Services related to structures, improvements, or encumbrances within right of way and easement areas in Fulton County, Georgia. The contract aims to secure a pre-qualified firm capable of providing these services, with the selection based on the lowest responsive and responsible bid submitted by firms holding current GDOT prequalification for Right of Way Property Management Services. Notably, the bid bond requirement has been removed, and the performance and payment bond requirements have been updated, requiring bidders to review the documents carefully. The solicitation emphasizes strict adherence to submission deadlines, with bids due by November 4, 2025, and highlights a restriction on communication with GDOT staff from the advertisement date until the award is announced, to ensure fair competition. The contract size ranges from $500,000 to $2,000,000, and the project is set to be awarded via a purchase order for an initial 30-day period, subject to modifications. Bidders are responsible for checking for any updates to the solicitation and ensuring their bids are received on time, as late submissions will not be considered. The process involves compliance with various regulations, including conflict of interest, certification, and workplace policies, with an emphasis on fair, transparent, and competitive bidding practices. The primary point of contact for inquiries is Tameka Crowder, reachable by email or phone. The project underscores the importance of prequalification, with only firms holding current GDOT certification eligible to participate, and encourages potential bidders to visit GDOT’s website for application procedures.
