The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) is seeking janitorial services for its Watson Lake Detachment in the Yukon Territory, with a contract term of two years starting March 1, 2026, and an option to extend for up to three additional one-year periods under the same terms. The contract requires all personnel working on-site to hold a valid “Reliability Status” security clearance issued by the RCMP, and janitorial staff must be escorted when entering secure areas such as records rooms, cells, exhibits, and IT rooms. A mandatory site visit is scheduled for January 19, 2026, and bidders must confirm attendance by January 16, 2026, to participate; failure to attend will result in disqualification. The selection of the contract will be based on mandatory technical criteria, with the lowest compliant bid recommended for award. Bids are to be submitted electronically to the RCMP Bid Receiving Unit by February 4, 2026. The procurement process encourages compliance with the RCMP’s security and supplier integrity policies, and Indigenous businesses are encouraged to register with the federal Indigenous Business Directory to enhance visibility and access to set-aside contracts.
