LICENSE AGREEMENT WITH HOMEBOY INDUSTRIES AT THE MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CENTER

The County of Los Angeles Board of Supervisors has approved a license agreement for Homeboy Industries to operate a retail food concession at the County-owned Martin Luther King Jr. Behavioral Health Center, located at 12021 Wilmington Avenue, Unincorporated Willowbrook, California. Under this agreement, Homeboy Industries will sell food to the public using the concession space and adjacent industrial kitchen, which were established during the facility's 2020 renovation and equipped with the necessary fixtures for food service. The agreement is for an initial five-year term and includes one four-year renewal option. The project is managed by Helena Dedic of the Los Angeles County Chief Executive Office. It has been deemed categorically exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act pursuant to Section 15301 of the State CEQA Guidelines and Class 1 of the County of Los Angeles Environmental Reporting Procedures, as the project involves the operation of existing facilities and minor alterations. The operation must comply with all applicable regulations, and the award was approved by the Board of Supervisors.
