THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. There will be a MHC51 and MCM1 Class Main Propulsion and Generator Diesel Engine Replacement Pre-Proposal Conference at Technology Management & Analysis Corporation, 80 M St. SE, Suite 700, Washington, D.C. 20003 on Thursday, 10 October 2002, 9:00 A.M. Companies intending to attend the conference must notify Mr. Robert Colot at contact@example.gov in writing no later than 2:30 P.M., 4 October 2002 with the names of the individuals attending and their company affiliation. Each prospective contractor team is limited to 3 attendees at the conference. A draft copy of the Statement of Work / Specification for the anticipated procurement will be available at http://www.dt.navy.mil/acquisition approximately 3 October 2002 (Click on "Announcements" and then "Special Notices"). The engines to be acquired will replace existi ng engines on MHC51 and MCM1 Class ships. It is intended that the formal Request for Proposal will have Contract Line Items for first article engines and testing, up to 166 production engines, engine installation, spare parts, training, technical data and logistics services. This notice is not a solicitation of offers and the Government will not be liable for any costs and or other activity associated with a response to this announcement.
