Solicitation Number: H92222-06-D-0005 Notice Type: Special Notice Synopsis: Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) intends to modify an existing Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with Microsoft Corporation, 5355 Wisconsin Ave., Suite 600, Washington, DC 20015-2054 under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(A). USSOCOM intends to increase the maximum contract ceiling amount on an existing IDIQ contract to acquire additional support services from Microsoft. The current maximum contract ceiling amount is $5,999,500. The amount of increase would be $2M bringing the new maximum contract ceiling amount to $7,999,500. Only Microsoft Corporation has unique access to Microsoft products, product designers and the original source code. This contract will allow access to corporate resources, which enhance awareness of critical operational problems/issues/alerts, critical in minimizing and preventing information system downtime and failures that impact USSOCOM's mission. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotations, however interested parties may identify their interests and capability by responding to this requirement by 4:00 PM, EST, December 4, 2009 by e-mail to douglas.pick.ctr@socom.mil. A determination by the Government not to compete the additional requirements based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
