The Department of Defense, through the Test Resource Management Center (TRMC) and in cooperation with the Director, Operational Test and Evaluation (DOT&E), is organizing the first workshop for the Infrared Countermeasures (IRCM) Test Resources Requirements Study (ITRRS). Scheduled for August 29–31, 2006, in Chicago, Illinois, this workshop is a key component of a Central Test and Evaluation Investment Program (CTEIP) study aimed at developing a strategic roadmap to enhance IRCM test resources. The initiative addresses the evolving needs driven by advancements in IRCM systems and heat-seeking missile technology. Attendance is limited to organizations involved in the development or testing of IRCM systems to leverage their expertise in future test plan use cases, which will help establish a baseline for the roadmap. The workshop agenda includes defining drivers, use cases, architecture, test concepts, and sample test plans, fostering an exchange of insights, plans, and best practices within the IRCM community. Following this event, a second workshop planned for March 2007 will focus on IRCM test resources, including participants responsible for developing and conducting test resources. The overall goal is to promote collaboration across stakeholders to ensure comprehensive IRCM test capabilities that meet Department of Defense needs. The August workshop will be held at the W Lakeshore Hotel in Chicago, running from the morning of August 29 to midday on August 31. It is an unclassified event with no registration fee, and participants are encouraged to register by August 14. Key logistics—such as the detailed agenda, registration, hotel information, and preparatory materials—are provided online, with Leslie Morgan serving as the primary point of contact for the event.
