MPA 433 Welding Services

The State of Rhode Island is seeking qualified vendors under Master Price Agreement MPA 433 to provide electric and gas welding, fabrication, and repair services for state-owned equipment, vehicles, and facilities. These services are provided on an as-needed basis and can be performed at the vendor's own facility or at various state locations throughout Rhode Island, including specific RIDOT facilities in East Providence and Little Compton. The scope of work includes cutting, grinding, fitting, surface preparation, and the supply of incidental hardware, with the contractor remaining responsible for the final inspection of all completed work to ensure it meets industry standards and safety requirements. Vendors are evaluated on a pass/fail basis, requiring a passing determination across all criteria, including the submission of professional resumes, certifications, and client references. A critical component of this contract is the commitment to Minority Business Enterprise participation, requiring a minimum 15 percent participation rate. Prime contractors must submit executed subcontractor agreements and monthly payment reports to the MBE Compliance Office and notify the state of any changes in subcontractors. Failure to comply with these MBE requirements may result in sanctions under Rhode Island General Laws.
