The government intends to increase the ceiling on contract N65236-05-D-5152 with iDirect Technologies by approximately $4,927,411 to procure six iDirect Model HB-51F VSAT Hub Router Systems with a two-year extended warranty, along with critical spare parts for twelve systems. These systems must be compatible with existing iDirect equipment and utilize the unique Deterministic-Time Division Multiple Access (D-TDMA) technology, which offers high performance with data rates of at least 9 Mbps per channel and support for at least 20 channels. iDirect is identified as the sole source capable of providing these specific systems, making this a non-competitive ceiling increase intended to meet the agency’s operational needs. The modification is issued under the Department of Defense’s Niwc Atlantic office located in North Charleston, SC, with inquiries directed to the contract negotiator by a specified deadline in August 2005. This action is part of continuing efforts to enhance network capabilities and maintain system readiness through acquisition of advanced communication equipment and necessary maintenance support.
