Full Description

REPAIR APPROXIMATELY 3 MILES OF THE NORTH SECTION OF COSO ROAD WITH TWO MAJOR WASH OUTS. THIS SECTION OF COSO ROAD LEADS TO THE SEISMIC STATION. ROAD REPAIR/MAINTENANCE WOULD REQUIRE CUTTING/BLADING OF THE ROAD. THERE WILL BE NO ROAD DIMENSION EXPANSION. WATER BARS/WING DITCHES WOULD NEED TO BE CUT TO ASSIST WITH BETTER DRAINAGE ALONG THE ROADWAY. FILL DIRT MAY BE NEEDED TO REPAIR DAMAGE. COMPACTION/WATERING MAY BE NEEDED TO INCORPORATE ADDED DIRT. STONES AND BOULDERS THAT NEED TO BE MOVED FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD WILL BE PUSHED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD ONLY IF NO CULTURAL SITE IS ADJACENT TO THE ROAD. AREA IS WITHIN THE SUGARLOAF ARCHAEOLOGICAL DISTRICT; WITH KNOWN ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITES PRESENT.
