Evaluation of the current issues pertaining to B1181. 1. The primary issues are the lack of airflow due to no preventive maintenance for the main Daikin system and the PTAC unit. But the units are performing and were meeting setpoints even with the current conditions. See pictures 2. The speed controller for the exhaust fan is failed. This should not be a speed controller nor should the customer have access to control the fan. The fan should be interlocked with the Daikin hvac unit operation. The fan motor is good. 3. The entrance location and the rear room are considered part of Food storage/prep and tack room but they also use the rear room for isolating a dog. Both of these rooms require air to be exhausted directly through roof to outdoors like the kennel area but they currently are not. These areas have no return or exhaust air flow. See attached page 33 4. The ducting from the Daikin unit is supplied to the food storage/prep and tack room but with no exhaust or return air there is minimal airflow. The ducting on roof is non-insulated to these two rooms. The PTAC unit is currently operating to condition the rooms. For #3 and #4 I recommend installing an exhaust fan in the bathroom to vent through the roof and installing pass through grilles from the tack room and food prep room and to insulate the duct on the roof. This would allow for no interference of unwanted outside air and smells transferring from the kennel to the other two rooms while also allowing proper supply of airflow from the Daikin hvac unit to the rooms.
