The Department of Defense, through the Aviation and Missile Research, Development and Engineering Center (AMRDEC) at Redstone Arsenal, has issued a Request for Information (RFI) concerning the development of a Non Line of Sight-Launch System (NLOS-LS) Remote Delivery System. This RFI is strictly for information gathering purposes and does not constitute a solicitation for proposals or the formation of a contract. The Army seeks data to support the development of a cost-effective, versatile delivery system capable of transporting both lethal and non-lethal payloads across multiple military users. The system is envisioned to be low cost, easily deployable, and packaged in an All Up Round canister compatible with existing NLOS-LS Container Launch Units, emphasizing flexibility, payload integration, and standardized packaging. Respondents are invited to provide innovative ideas on system design optimization, non-traditional manufacturing approaches, efficient propulsion, unique booster technologies, and performance metrics. The Government encourages leveraging commercial and government-off-the-shelf technologies and highlights that submissions must be unclassified, limited to 20 single-spaced pages in English, and submitted electronically within 30 days of the notice. Foreign participation is prohibited, and all proprietary information should be clearly marked. The aim is to gather technical and programmatic insights to inform acquisition strategies, without any current intent to award contracts or incur costs for response preparation.
