The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Clinical Center is issuing a notice of intent for a sole source procurement of the Verathon GlideScope Core 15 FHD Premium Configuration along with Core QuickConnect Cables and GlideScope Go 2 Monitor Kits, which are integral components of their Video Laryngoscope system. This acquisition is necessary for the Critical Care Medicine Department, Respiratory Section, to replace current equipment that is no longer supported, thus ensuring the continued capability to perform emergency intubation procedures on both adult and pediatric patients. The existing GlideScope system, also proprietary to Verathon, is currently in use at the Clinical Center, making this replacement a continuation of their established technology. This procurement is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures per the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, allowing a sole source award without competition due to the unique availability of the vendor’s proprietary system and the limited procurement amount below the simplified acquisition threshold. Although this is not a solicitation, interested parties may respond with statements of interest and capabilities. However, the government reserves the right to determine whether to proceed without competition based on such responses. Correspondence related to this notice can be directed to Ryssa Nix, Contract Specialist at the NIH Clinical Center Office of Purchasing and Contracts, with the contract referenced under solicitation number NOI-CC-25-008116. The place of performance is Bethesda, Maryland.
