ORO LANDFILL PAVING PROJECT

The County of Simcoe is soliciting tenders for the Oro Landfill Paving Project under Request for Tender No. 2026-108. This opportunity is exclusively open to construction contractors who are in good standing and prequalified under 2024-105 for road corridor repairs. The scope of work involves the placement of 60 mm of HL8 heavy duty recycled asphalt design mix in one lift, utilizing PGAC 58-34 with a maximum of 10% RAP. Technical specifications require that asphalt arrive at a temperature of at least 130 degrees Celsius and that all joints tying into existing asphalt be tack coated. The contractor is responsible for providing test certificates and Bills of Lading for the asphalt, while the County handles base testing. To be eligible for award, bidders must ensure that at least 51 percent of the total project value consists of Canadian or Ontario made goods and services.
