The Government plans to award a contract on a sole source basis to Greer Communication of Clarksville, TN, for Zetron paging equipment to support an existing system previously installed by this company at Fort Campbell, KY. This procurement will be conducted under the authority of 10 U.S.C. and relevant FAR provisions, citing the company's unique installation and design of the current system, which makes involving another source duplicative and more costly. The acquisition falls under NAICS code 443112, with a business size standard of $8 million, and will follow Simplified Acquisition Procedures without a formal solicitation being issued. Although this is not a competitive request, other firms believing they can fulfill the requirement may submit written notifications within four days for government consideration. The requirement includes specific Zetron paging equipment components such as a Paging Terminal (Model No. 905-0198), Dual Telephone Interface Card, Dual Alphanumeric Messaging Input Modem, Radio Station Control Card, ITU Voice Controller, System Voice Prompts, Multiport Serial Interface, equipment racks with shelves, and a UPS for the paging terminal. Responses must be submitted by the specified deadline via email or fax and include sufficient supporting evidence of the firm's capability. If no responsive notifications are received, the government will proceed with negotiations exclusively with Greer Communication. Contact points for inquiries are Shirley Banks and Contracting Officer Gertrude Colbert at Fort Campbell.
