Work shall include but is not limited to: - Patch, prime and paint exterior and interior in its entirety. - Repair roofing - Repair concrete spalling throughout interior and exterior of building including concrete landing pads at entrances. - Remove existing plumbing fixtures and toilet accessories and install new fixtures/accessories. Restroom layout must be ABA compliant - Install new toilets, sinks, soap dispensers, mirrors, paper dispensers, partitions, trash cans, etc - Remove and install new floor and wall tiling. - Repair/Replace all doors, door jambs, door hardware and windows. - Replace all electrical wires/conduits, boxes, switches, outlets & fixtures. - Repair/Replace clogged fixture piping. - Recommend to inspect to determine if blockage is occurring. Building 1678 is located at the head of Dry Docks 2 and 3 and is in deficient condition. Most toilets in this facility are out of service due to issues with clogging/plumbing issues. B1678 is the only restroom in between DD2 and DD3. If this project is not provided, the facility will continue to deteriorate at a progressively accelerated rate. As pipes break, there will be less toilets/lavatories available for personnel in the area. The current conditions create an adverse effect on the daily operations, safety, quality of life, and morale of personnel working in the Dry Dock 2 and Dry Dock 3 area.
