This Sources Sought announcement is published FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY. No solicitation is available. Responses to this notice are NOT offers and CANNOT be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract.


Portsmouth Naval Shipyard seeks to identify sources capable of providing Refrigeration Air Conditioning (RAC) Plant Compressor/Motor Drivetrain Installation and Testing Assistance. Original equipment manufacturer for this service is John Controls Navy Systems (formerly York International Corporation) and will require access to their proprietary information (see limited source justification attached).


This sources sought notice is a market research tool being utilized to identify potential and eligible firms capable of providing these services prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of a Request for Quote (RFQ). As such, all interested parties are encouraged to respond. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. 


If your organization has the potential capacity to accomplish this requirement, please provide the following information at a minimum:
