The project involves the demolition of the existing bridge structure, construction of a new superstructure and substructure, highway reconstruction including storm drainage, signing, and temporary lighting, along with extensive temporary works for traffic management during phased construction. The work is governed by the MassDOT Standard Specifications for Highways and Bridges, 2026 Edition, and must comply with AASHTO and Federal Highway Administration standards.
