AI Contract Overview

The contract pertains to the final decision of the A-76 cost comparison study conducted by the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) for Mail and Supply Services. This study evaluated whether the services should be outsourced or kept in-house. Based on the results of the direct cost comparison, the determination was made to continue performing the Mail and Supply Services internally rather than contracting them out. The solicitation identified as NRCS-04-AL-03 was posted in August 2003 and designated as a total small business set-aside under FAR 19.5, indicating the preference for small business participation if the function were outsourced. Key contact for the contract is Lynn A Thomas, reachable by phone or email. The study reinforces the commitment to maintain service quality and cost efficiency by retaining federal performance of these activities.

General Info

NRCS decided to keep Mail and Supply Services in-house after A-76 cost comparison study.
