Full Description

Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(1), the U.S. Army Natick Contracting Division, 1 Kansas Street, Natick, MA on behalf of the United States Army-Soldier Systems Center, Natick, MA intends to negotiate and award a contract on a sole source basis with AJD Contracting of 136 Sutherland Rd. 3, Brighton, MA 02135. This contractor has prior experience working on the AFRS project and has in depth knowledge of the recipes and the work needed to bring the recipes into compliance with the latest DoD Menu Standards and food safety standards, as well as to bring the recipe collection up to date with current food trends. The AFRS recipe collection is unique and complex in its make-up due to the scientific nature of developing standardized recipes for large group feeding and due to the constraints imparted by military food service rules. The contractor not only has significant knowledge of food and nutrition, culinary skills, and food safety, but has already been familiarized with much of what makes the AFRS recipe collection unique and understands how to work within the specialized processes to make it a world class recipe collection for the benefit of US Warfighters.
