Synopsis: NASA/NSSC has a requirement for Red Weapon Helium 8K S35 digital cinema camera (called Weapon), EF mount and accessories. (730-0025 RED PRO Touch 7.0" LCD, 790-0571-3PK W Woven CF HELIUMTM 8K S35 w/ Sidekick / Mg PL 2.0 [Stealth], DSMC2TM Skin Tone-Highlight OLPF, DSMC2TM Low Light Optimized OLPF, 725-0026 DSMC Al Canon Mount (Captive), 740-0035 RED BRICK Power Package (DSMC), 750-0084 RED STATION RED MINI-MAG - USB 3.1, 790-0440 RED SidewinderTM, 720-0037 DSMC2TM LEMO Adaptor A, 720-0045 DSMC2TM V-Lock I/O Expander) NASA/NSSC intends to issue a sole source contract to Red Digital Camera 34 Parker Irvine, CA 92618 under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). It has been determined that Red Digital Camera is the sole provider of Red Weapon Helium 8K S35 digital cinema camera (called Weapon), EF mount and accessories. NASA/NSSC will be the procuring center for this effort. Performance will be located at NASA/ Kennedy Space Center (KSC). The Government intends to acquire commercial items and services using the provisions, clauses and procedures prescribed in FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 423410 Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 2:00 p.m. Central Standard Time on July 3, 2017 Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
