REFRIGERATED AND DRY FREIGHT TRUCKS AND LIFTGATE MAINTENANCE SERVICES

School District U-46 is soliciting bids for comprehensive repair, preventive maintenance, and inspection services for its fleet of seven refrigerated box trucks with liftgates and four dry freight trucks, with services to be performed at District schools and facilities across Illinois. Contractors are required to maintain minimum insurance coverages: $1 million each for general and auto liability, $5 million umbrella coverage, and workers’ compensation as required by law, with the District named as additional insured on a primary, non-contributory basis. All employees working on school property must pass criminal background checks under 105 ILCS 5/10-21.9, and the use of asbestos or hazardous materials is strictly prohibited without prior written approval. The contractor must indemnify and defend the District against all third-party claims, including personal injury, property damage, or intellectual property infringement, and must comply with strict non-discrimination, anti-harassment, and confidentiality policies under FERPA and HIPAA.
