Headquarters, Marine Corps (HQMC), Installations and Logistics (I&L) Contracts Division intends to award a sole source contract under the authority of 10 U.S.C - 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The contract will be subject to the Availability of Funds Clause under FAR 52.232-18. The award will be made to Sodexo Management Incorporated, 9801 Washingtonian Blvd, Government Services Group, 4th Floor, Gaithersburg, MD 20878-5355. The requirement is for the management and operation of twenty (20) Marine Corps Garrison Mess Halls located on the West Coast of the Continental United States. This action will result in Fixed-Price contract for a period of performance of three (3) months commencing 01 April 2011. The NAICS Code for this requirement is 722310 with a size standard of $20 Billion. This notice of intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for competitive proposals. The proposed sole source contract request is a short term acquisition for three (3) months limited to the least amount of time necessary to allow for transition of services from the incumbent to the successor contractor.
