The Department of Defense, through SPAWARSYSCEN Atlantic, is seeking information regarding an enterprise-wide, SSL-encrypted online hosting platform specifically designed to support the Air Force Medical Service’s Warrior Core Cardiac Computed Tomography (CT) Database. This database aims to consolidate clinical, procedural, and results data into a succinct format that adheres to the Society of Cardiac CT reporting guidelines. The objective is to generate standardized reports that can be securely shared with healthcare providers, enhance patient safety, and facilitate collaboration among DoD cardiac imaging professionals. The hosting solution must ensure secure accessibility across various DoD locations while maintaining compliance with relevant security directives such as CJCSI 6212.01E. Traditional local servers lacking wide accessibility and current model servers with limited DoD reach are considered inadequate, prompting exploration of a secure, bank-website-like hosting model. This Request for Information (RFI) is strictly for planning and information gathering and does not constitute a solicitation or contract award opportunity. Vendors are requested to submit company details, product descriptions, contact information, product cost, and specify whether offerings are product-based or service-based. The government emphasizes that all submissions will be treated as public information, so no proprietary content should be included. Questions related to technical matters can be directed to the technical point of contact, while contract-related inquiries are to be sent to the designated Contract Specialist. The overarching goal of this RFI is to assess and validate potential commercial solutions to support secure and efficient hosting of the Cardiac CT Database on an enterprise scale.

RFI submissions due 09 August 2011 Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SPAWARSYSCEN) Atlantic, Code 6.3.2.0, is seeking information on a Department of Defense (DoD) enterprise wide SSL encrypted online hosting website for the Air Force Medical Service (AFMS) that will be able to support the Warrior Core Cardiac Computed Tomography (CT) Database. The DoD CT database will collect clinical, procedural, and results data in a concise format, which can output a standardized report that can be sent to the provider, improve patient safety, and allow collaboration between DoD cardiac imaging providers, by following the Society of Cardiac CT reporting guidelines in order to improve scanning protocols to reduce radiation exposure while enhancing diagnostic capabilities. The database will require secure online hosting, as defined in CJCSI 6212.01E that can be available to DoD imaging providers no matter their location. A local server behind security firewalls would not be accessible by outside providers. A model server allows for secure CAC access but is not available DoD wide. Utilizing a model such as banking websites would allow for wider accessibility yet also be secure enough to protect stored information. The overall goal is to establish a web hosting platform. Submittals The information received shall be reviewed to conduct objective, comparative assessments and validation of commercial equipment and systems. This RFI is for information gathering and planning purposes only, and should not be construed as a Request for Proposal (RFP) or solicitation of an offer. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this RFI or otherwise pay for the information solicited. All information received will be treated as public knowledge; therefore, vendors should not submit proprietary information in response to this RFI. Specific information sought includes: 1. Company information, including name, address, and URL 2. Whether a purchased product or a service-based product is offered 3. A point of contact for follow-up information, and the point of contacts phone number and e-mail address 4. Product name and a brief description (75 words or less) of product 5. Cost information The technical point of contact is Joe Schepisi at contact@example.gov. This RFI is for information gathering and planning purposes only, and should not be construed as a Request for Proposal (RFP) or solicitation of an offer. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this RFI or otherwise pay for the information solicited. E-mail your non-technical contract related questions and submissions to the Contract Specialist, Paula Somers at contact@example.gov.
