The El Dorado Irrigation District (District) proposes to replace the existing filtration valves and actuators that operate the filter effluent, filter-to-waste, and backwash air processes at the Reservoir 1 Water Treatment Plant (Res 1 WTP). The valves and actuators have reached the end of their useful life and require replacement to maintain service and water treatment reliability. Project activities will involve the removal of the existing valves and actuators, installation of the new valves and actuators, and associated mechanical and electrical work. All construction activities will occur within the existing Res 1 WTP facility and involve no new ground disturbing activities. The new valves and actuators are an in-kind replacement and will not increase or expand drinking water treatment capacity.
