Metro Mobility Hubs (Norwalk Station, and Harbor Gateway Transit Center, and Memorial Park Station) Project

The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority is implementing the Metro Mobility Hubs Project to enhance existing transit stations at Norwalk Station in Norwalk, Harbor Gateway Transit Center in Gardena, and Memorial Park Station in Pasadena. The primary objective of the project is to create Mobility Hubs that support safe and convenient transfers between different transportation modes, improve first and last mile connections to transit, and increase the overall viability of travel options. The scope of work involves performing minor alterations to existing public facilities within Metro and City-owned rights-of-way in the immediate areas surrounding these stations. This project is classified as a forecast under NAICS code 237990. Because the work consists of minor improvements to existing public facilities and does not result in the expansion of new transit operations, it qualifies for a categorical exemption under Section 15301, Class 1 of the CEQA Guidelines.
