Reservoir 20B Project

The Reservoir 20B Project (CIP 14-W008) for the Dublin San Ramon Services District involves the construction of an underground, pre-stressed concrete potable water storage tank in eastern Dublin, California. Located at the end of Savanna Court within the Francis Ranch development, the project aims to increase water storage for Zone 20. The primary deliverable is a buried concrete tank with a 1.3-million-gallon capacity, featuring a 102-foot diameter and a 17,500-square-foot footprint. The scope of work includes the installation of approximately 1,000 linear feet of welded steel water supply main, a check valve vault, 425 linear feet of storm drain pipeline, and the necessary electrical power and SCADA infrastructure for reservoir operations. Additional site requirements include the installation of an 8-foot chain-link security fence, a communications antenna up to 12 feet in height, and a maintenance access staircase. To maintain hilltop topography, the reservoir will remain entirely below grade following the backfilling of soil. The project is expected to take approximately 15 months to complete and must adhere to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), specifically the approved Mitigated Negative Declaration and the associated Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Program. The project is consistent with the District's Water Master Plan and was approved on October 15, 2024.
