Resolution for Use of Annenberg Beach House with French National Olympic Committee

The City of Santa Monica has issued a resolution to authorize the use of the Annenberg Beach House, located at 415 Pacific Coast Highway, by the French National Olympic Committee during the 2028 Summer Olympic Games. This agreement allows the facility to serve as a temporary interactive broadcast and event space from June 30, 2028, through August 4, 2028. The scope of work includes the installation of temporary equipment and facilities, such as tents, signage, and canopies, within the existing site. To facilitate this arrangement, the city has granted waivers from certain provisions of the Santa Monica Municipal Code. Additionally, the project has been granted a categorical exemption under CEQA Guidelines Sections 15301, 15303, 15304, 15311, and 15323, as the activities involve the use of existing facilities and temporary installations without permanent expansion. The project is managed by the City of Santa Monica, with Rachel Kwok serving as the primary point of contact.
