RFP 2026-04 Gimli Recreation Food Services

The Rural Municipality of Gimli (RM of Gimli) is seeking proposals from qualified proponents to provide food services for the Recreation & Leisure Department under a one-year contract, with potential to extend to multi-year. The primary operating location will be the Gimli Recreation Centre, with peak operations occurring from September through April. During this time, the successful proponent will be required to provide consistent food services aligned with scheduled activities, including but not limited to: Hockey practices and games Curling games and events Skate Interlake programs Special events and all tournaments The proponent may extend operating hours beyond scheduled events to serve the general public, provided all hours of operation comply with provincial regulations governing the operation of the ice plant and facility. In addition to indoor operations, the successful proponent will be responsible for the North Beach Concession Stand during the summer season (July and August). Food preparation and packaging will be conducted at the Gimli Recreation Centre kitchen, with products transported for sale at the North Beach Concession Stand location. This opportunity offers a year-round presence within key community hubs and events, with the potential to expand service offerings to both facility users and the broader public. Proposals must include the company or individual background and relevant experience, proposed menu with pricing, equipment and staffing plan, health and safety compliance approach, proposed monthly rental/commission to the organization, proof of insurance and required certifications, and any other information that may be relevant to this RFP.
