Road Salt – Strategic Reserves, Regions 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9

The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) is soliciting proposals and bids for strategic reserves of road salt for delivery as requested in NYSDOT Regions 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9. These reserves must be physically available on or before January 1, 2027 and shall be dedicated exclusively for NYSDOT use. After Jan 1, 2027, the Department will begin placing orders for delivery from these reserves as needed with deliveries made to various NYDOT locations within a Region. By the end of March 2027, the Department will have taken delivery of all road salt provided for in these strategic reserves.
